RE: excel fiver

Excels are nice.... Have been in several at RV shows and I really like the workmanship. But they are heavy trailers and pricey on the Limited Edition.Any one looking to buy one don't think they will be disapponited with the quality.

RE: GAS Prices!!! I sold my rig, my F-250 is next

Things will have to get bad, bad, bad for us to quit RVing we love it to much. Will just stay closer to home. We have a nice SP 30 miles from home. If that's the only place I can afford to camping it's ok with me.

RE: Teton vs. Escalade

well I went to the Wichita Rv Show back in Jan. and went take a look at both. If I had to choose I would take the Teton that is a really nice Rig.The woodwork was very nice almost felt like a home not a camper.

RE: How Long Do You Keep your Unit

My 1st was a used 1995 27' Sandpiper TT kept it 6 months and it got totaled by Insurance company from a Hail Storm.
My 2nd was a 2003 Cardinal 33RLB TT kept it 25 months traded it in on a 2005 Cardinal 35CKT FW.Been having it for 43 months and plan on keeping it for a while.I like the floorplan ( which has been discontinued) it has had very few issuses to deal with and we just like it so we see no need to get in a hurry for a new one.

RE: New air hitch

Just bought a Air Safe 25k. I emailed lots of Air Safe owners and did not get one negative reply.
The Trailer Saver seems like a good quality hitch what turned me away was having to buy spacers if it was not the correct height you needed.
And I also like the 4 Firestone Airbags that comes with the Air Safe.I have a set of Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags on my truck and they have been great. Been 3 yrs. and no leaks good quality.
Trailer Saver I think have goodyear air bags. But it's your decision to make go with the one that best fits your needs and setup.Good luck which ever one you decide to go with.

RE: Help! Cameo Owners

The Cameo is nice but also heavy Go with a 350,450 or 550 dually you will not regret it.I wish I had a dually but my 250 is paid for.And I don't want a truck note right now.

RE: Short bed truck with air ride hitch

I installed my new 25k Air Safe this weekend real impressed with the quality. Also looked at Trailer Saver but what I didn't like about it was the setting of 14" and if that wasn't what you need you have to buy spacers. And I also liked the 4 airbags on air safe. Trailer saver only has 2 bags.
I also have a shortbed but have a extended pinbox on trailer and have not seen the need for a slider.I just be careful and pay attention to where I take the camper.
But your needs are different than mine call this # 866-448-2475 and speak to Rodney he will be able to answer your questions about the slider. Hope this helps.

RE: Fifth Wheel Hitch

If you have a extended pinbox and take precautions and don't turn too sharp, you will be ok without a slider hitch. If you would like a hitch that will lock the 1st time go with the RBW was happy with mine.

RE: Tires for Fifth-Wheel

I made the decision to remove my Kenda tires. I chose BF Goodrich and also went with BF Gooodrich on the truck. Keeping my fingers crossed so far no problems on the trailer. I also check pressure before I take it on a trip.I run 80 psi on the trailer tires and 50 psi on the truck.

RE: Doubletree Select Suites

Looked at them seems just to be a step down from the Mobile. I feel it's a well built camper and a bit cheaper price wise than the mobile.
I like it and would not rule it out for my next camper but I like my Cardinal and our club:) It's heavy and requires a 1 ton or more.

RE: CARDINAL OR CEDAR CREEK BOTH BY FOREST RIVER

Hi... I'm on my 2nd Cardinal.I have been in both to me they seem to be comparable as far as quality is concerned in my opinion.
If you are interested in both I think it's all about dealer, floorplan, and which one you can get the best price on.They are both nice campers and if you are looking at more High End take a look at the Daydreamer by Cedar Creek I really like that Rig. But out of my price range at the moment.

RE: Hitches

Well I currently have a RBW but waiting for my new Air Safe Air Ride Hitch to come in tomorrow.Really excited can't wait for the new ride,it's not cheap but after much research I feel I will not have to buy another Hitch. And feel it's worth the investment over the long haul.

RE: Shocks on FW's

Gary,
Take a little time before you decide what you are going to do.
For more info give Mor\ryde a call 1-574-293-1581 or www.morryde.com.
If you call you may want to try ext 222 and ask for Gary Wheeler.
Britt
Britt - I think the Mor/ryde system will be too much of an investment since we don't do much traveling anymore other than going to Florida for the winter. The FW really tows nicely...can't even tell it's back there most of the time. I just need to get rid of the bounce.
Gary
Gary... Take a look at Equa Flex my buddy has it on his Cardinal and really thinks it helps. www.trailair.com take a look. Easy install I am really thinking hard about buying a set, I have shocks now but both can't hurt.
